I like to talk about writing and publishing, and that includes my books, so when I hear about a convention looking for panelists or a podcast looking for guests, I’ll often reach out. I am not that good at keeping track of dates beyond putting them on my calendar when I know them, and that’s how I’ve ended up speaking at 2 conventions, 1 podcast, and 1 author summit all in the first week of October. Whew.
Weekend of October 3-4
Hearthcon
On Saturday October 3 at 3pm PDT (5pm CDT), I’ll be speaking on a panel discussing cozy animals. You can view the panel live on YouTube and more information is on Hearthcon’s website.
Rainbow Space Magic
Rainbow Space Magic is a convention on the craft of writing Queer SF/F and I am pleased to be speaking. I will be at 3 events over the course of the weekend.
Saturday, October 3 at 9-9:50am PDT (11-11:50am CDT) – A panel on group marketing. I will most certainly be talking about my desire to bring back author group blog/newsletters, as well as marketing as a group.
Sunday, October 4 at 10:30-11:20am PDT (12:30-1:20pm CDT) – A panel on intersectional resilience and how those of us with multiple marginalized identities can find resilience and community.

Podcast Appearance
On October 5, I’ll be speaking on the Historical Romance Sampler podcast on the theme of banned books talking about how Missouri’s law against “adult websites” is affecting authors and causing censorship. Find the podcast on your favorite podcast player. Note: This podcast will have a discussion of writing steamy to erotic romance, which I have done under other pen names in the past. As I discuss in this podcast, I am trying to decide how I wish to incorporate romance into my current writing including whether I’ll return to that genre (under those other pen names).
